Lo Persson reconstructed fish catches for Sweden and Somalia while working at the Fisheries Centre at the University of British Columbia (Canada) from 2008 to 2010. She holds an MSc in forest sciences from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), where she also earned her PhD studying hatchery-reared Atlantic salmon. She currently continues her research at SLU in Umeå, Sweden.
